Most skylight problems are a flashing problem. Leaks traced, flashings rebuilt, perished seals and worn hardware made good, and yellowed old domes upgraded to modern glazed units.

Initial Call
A short conversation about the room, the roof and what you want the light to do. Enquiries answered within four hours.
Site Inspection
Roof, ceiling and roof space measured and assessed in person, with placement options talked through on site.
Quote & Approval
A fixed written quote with scope, product and inclusions. Once approved, the install date and materials are locked in.
Installation
Most installs are completed in a day. The roof is left weathertight every evening and the site cleaned down.
Handover
A walk-through of the finished work, operation of any venting unit, and warranty paperwork in writing.
Split the job and the detail falls between trades.
Split the job across a roofer, a carpenter and a plasterer and that's where leaks, cracked linings and finger-pointing come from. The same person who assesses the light plans the shaft, cuts the opening, sets the flashing and finishes the lining.
What to expect before you call.
How long will my project take?
Most single-skylight installs are finished in a day. Larger jobs and light shafts usually run two to three days, and the schedule is confirmed with your quote.
Can changes be made during construction?
Yes, where the roof structure allows it. Anything that alters the scope is priced and confirmed in writing before the work continues.
How are payments structured?
A deposit secures materials and the install date, with the balance due on completion. No progress claims and no surprises on the final invoice.
Who will I communicate with during the project?
Tim Vella, directly, from the first call through to handover. There is no call centre and no third-party project manager in between.
What happens if there are delays or issues?
You hear about it the same day, with a revised date and the reason. Weather is the usual cause, and the roof is always left weathertight in the meantime.
Every installation carries a five-year workmanship warranty on flashing, sealing and finishing, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the unit itself.
